Johnson Beetle Spin – Maybe The Best All Around Freshwater Lure

This lure consists of a nickel plated blade, a bright safety pin spinner, an extra sharp hook with a soft bait and a metal arm. It is a simple design that has caught fish for decades.
Any angler fishing in freshwater lakes, ponds and rivers will soon find that this lure is a must-have for your tackle bag. I have used this in inland lakes for over 50 years and it remains one of my most productive lures.
This bait will catch such a wide variety of fish that it is invaluable to have. I also like that it is not all that expensive. I have used it almost exclusively when fishing for walleye and northern pike in Ontario, Canada. If you snag a rock and lose a bait, you're not out that much.
And in most lakes in milder climates, you can easily catch the following fish:
- bluegill
- crappie
- largemouth bass
- smallmouth bass
- rock bass
- perch
- trout
- pike
- walleye
- and many more species
And the Beetle Spin comes in many sizes and colors.
Best of all, they are not very expensive and I highly recommend you try one.
